Lovin' Life In Beautiful Kelowna..

Love this time of year, especially here in Kelowna! 

The trees are SO beautiful, I just had to take a few pictures!

I couldn't choose between the pictures I took, so I chose to put most of them up!

It's starting to get chilly out, but I am kind of loving it!

It makes you just want to bundle up & get cozy with a hot cup of tea or hot coco :)

Scrum-diddily-ocious Rice Paper Rolls

Tonight I was in the cooking mood, and decided to try making Rice Paper Rolls!

Rice paper is such a GREAT idea for replacing tortillas or bread of any sort!

Rice paper has 3 ingredients (well atleast the one I got!): Green Beans, Peas & Water!

Thats it!!

I started by sauteing mushrooms with a little soy sauce & some crushed peanuts.

Then I cooked up the shrimp!

I got the carrots, cucumber, avacado, & green onions chopped up nice & thin.

Then I moved on to the peanut sauce.

The peanut sauce consisted of: peanut butter, soy sauce & almond milk.

Last but not least, I got the rice paper soaked & ready to use.

I layered up a little of everything i had prepared then,

....rooooolled them up.

Def. weren't the BEST rolls, but pretty decent for my first time,

if i doo say so myself ;P

If anyone has any tips on how to make these, please let me know! :)

Lastly I added a little piece of decor to the table with...

beautiful strawberry & orange flavoured water :)

I'll definitely be making this meal again!

Carpet Cleaning!

Yesterday, Chad & I spent the last part of our night clearing the floors. 

Didn't take too long to just grab things and put them up, but NOW looking 

at the messy piles we have made everywhere, it feels like its going to take a lot

longer to put everything away nicely! :P

BUT, either way, it was worth it! 

The carpets are looking crazzzy clean & smelling fresh!

And as you can see, the treadmill & kitchen came in quite handy in a slightly different way! :)

Just Slightly Homesick :(

Missing my family back in Edmonton!

Think about them all everyday

& cant wait to see everyone at christmas!

They say families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts.

I definitely feel that way about mine,

But I wouldn't have em any other way ;)

First Blog & Many To Come..

Seems like everyone is getting a blog these days..
So I decided it might be a good idea to get one myself!
I enjoy seeing what's going on in my friends & families lives,
& thought I would let anyone who's interested keep up to date with my little family!

I decided on the name of my blog "Its A Love Story.." for a couple reasons. 
One, it was our wedding song - Love Story Meets Viva La Vida (John Schmidt) which I love love LOVE!
And second, I feel my whole life & everyone and everything that goes on in it, has to do with love! My life is a story full of love!  ...  Its A Love Story! :)
